It all started HERE!
In July 2013 life changed for the Brown family when they narrowly escaped being killed after being hit by a drunk driver. They had just come from their church that evening having been commissioned for their first family missions trip to Mexico.
Thankfully, they were all spared though a few members continue to this day to reap the consequences of their injuries.

Seen as a miraculous event, both Tammy and her husband Simon determined to not allow the discouragement of this time remain, but to allow God to direct their path forward into new ventures.

By faith and much patience, Altar 12 One was born!
Continuing on their missions trip to Mexico, God opened Simon and Tammy's eyes and their hearts to the reality of poverty not seen within Canadian borders. They built a house, fed a community, served and played with children whenever possible.
​
Stan and Charmy visited on many occasions bringing encouragement and help in dealing with many of the injuries they had sustained just prior to this trip.
​
Simon and Tammy are thrilled that God has made a way to help partner with Stan and Charmy as
they move in faith towards their next mission!
